Recalling the Slovak National Uprising, UPRISING Reggae Festival is taking place every last weekend in August since 2008 inna Bratislava. Since then it has evolved to one of the most exciting Reggae festivals throughout central Europe. But not only the One Drop will be celebrated - in two days, four stages will host genres ranging from reggae through to dancehall, ska, latino or hip-hop, dub, dubstep, ragga-jungle and dnb. Artists like Lee Scratch Perry, Max Romeo, Tarrus Riley, Zion Train, Mungo's Hifi and a grand variety of artists will guarantee a diverse quality line up!

Since 2004 they keep on inviting diverse international sounds and represening Berlin to the fullest. Musically, vibes range from Reggae to Dancehall, from Dubstep to Jungle and Tropical Bass.
Tonite the Czech veterans Babylon Rocker and Chong-X gonna mash up the place with a Dancehall Moombahton explosion. Chong-X keeps on producing hot Moombah-tunes inspired by the fresh Peruan mountain air. Tomorrow, Friday 10th August, the second edition of the first Roots & Dub festival in Austria called RISE & SHINE is going to be launched at 2 pm in a very lovely nature place at the ruins of Falkenstein, Lower Austria. The idea is to unite music and culture for two days in the original style.

This year there will be 3 heavy soundsystems again: The legendary King Shiloh Soundsystem all the way from Holland, Melchizedek Hi-Powa from Switzerland and the hosts of the most Shalamanda HiFi outta Austria. There will be a whole heap of Sounds and singers spreading pure vibes, dub and bass.

Well Dickes B - I had to say goodbye to Berlin city with tears in my eyes... Such a great concrete jungle full of history and herstory, diverse culture and artforms, where people from all over the globe populate the Kiez. From Wedding to Neukölln, from X-Berg over the bridge to F-hain. Just take a ride from Alex to Kotti straight to Görli and via Schlesi back to Boxi... It can get fucking cold in the winter but it is just awesome during summertime! Just incase you are there right about now enjoy the pleasure of cheap Döner, Schawarma, Falafel or even Currywurst, the delicious Vietnamese kitchen, Vokü everyday and a fresh beer at a Späti until late night... The spontaneous summer open airs and the 24/7 pulsation of urban life and arts... pure urbärlinization!
Definately I will not be gone forever but stray for a while and keep on telling anecdotes and featuring artists, collectives and projects which inspired me in the meantime... So expect more or less regular articles about B town in the near future! RUN BLN

Last night Usain "Lightening" Bolt set a new olympic record 9.63 sec with a 100m super run! Mr. Yohan Blake took the silver medal and also the ladies like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce showed that Jamaica got the fastest runners! Jamaica on the go... faster than bullet!!!
